Course Overview

Join Jacky Blisson MW & Bourgogne wine Official Ambassador in exploring the 27 geographical denominations of the AOC Mâcon in this exciting live webinar, with included wine tasting kit. Make sure to register before January 17 to ensure you receive your kit in time.

The Régionales appellations alone account for more than half of Bourgogne's wine production. They are often perceived as a "whole", but there are many subtleties... In particular, the Mâcon appellation offers a range of wines with additional geographical denominations.

A unique feature of the region, these 27 additional geographical denominations to the appellation Mâcon bring the concept of terroir into direct focus. In today’s context, they are also crucial to meet the expectations of market players who aim to continue offering Bourgogne wines to their clientele at "reasonable" prices.

Led by Jacky Blisson, Master of Wine and Bourgogne wine Official Ambassador and a winegrower who produces this appellation segment, the session will be a deep dive into the hallmarks of the region. A tasting of 8 wines will illustrate the diversity offered by this appellation segment.
