For a wine lover and lifetime learner like myself Italian Wine Scholar courses both in-class (unit 2) and online (unit 1) were a great joy. Tasting the wines of hundreds of indigenous Italian grape varieties and studying through great textbooks and online videos was a great pleasure.

I so enjoyed Italian Wine Scholar. The materials are comprehensive complete with indispensable pronunciation guides. A fantastic wine journey through the regions of Italy which I will revisit for years to come hopefully in person !!

The Italian Wine Scholar Course is an holistic interesting exploration of the unique wine regions in Italy. It is a challenging and rewarding certification! The manual is a great reference resource during the course and afterwards and their on-line training modules effectively guide you through the expected material to learn. Highly recommended!

I am working on Italian 2 now and am still studying Italian one as they are great together. I still feel strongly motivated to continue to improve my knowledge of part one to add to part two so I take away the whole of Italy. I dont want to dismiss part one for having moved on.

The IWS program is comprehensive and coherent. The information is presented in an engaging style with interesting asides on history and culture. My understanding of Italian wines was good but I now feel more knowledgeable and even more curious.

In case you dont have the chance to participate in classroom teaching distance learning is an excellent way to enhance your wine knowledge in Italian wines.

This excellent course gives students a wealth of information and clarifies the complicated nature of north Italian appellations. Information is clearly presented and summarised.

I enjoyed a lot the programme. I think that it is great to have different kinds of learning materials (videos book tests and flash cards). It was very very useful and efficient so I succeeded the exam with the first attempt

Following my WSET 3 certification I felt like I needed an even deeper dive on Italy. The IWS Unit 1 program was incredibly helpful and provided me with a thorough understanding of the Northern Italian wine region. I highly recommend it for anyone wanting to learn more about Italian wine.

I found the course to be extremely well prepared and presented. Lots of quality and valuable information that allowed me to engage not only in the vast expanse of wine and grape varieties but also in Italian history and topography. This is the third WSG course I have taken - and they never fail to deliver. Learning about these wines in their historical and geographical context has expanded my understanding of France Spain and Italy in ways that I would never have expected. WSG offers a great way to dig deep into the wines of these countries but you get so much more.

The Italian Wine Scholar program is a great way to learn about the intricacies of Italian Wine. There is so much to learn and the course is presented in a very logical way that makes it easy to remember.

The WSG course was informative and jam packed with information on each particular region. This was a great expansion on my other wine studies and opened my eyes to some native varietals I dont often get the chance to try.

I actually travelled to Piemonte during this course and found that I knew much of the information that our tour guide was explaining.

Extremely interesting comprehensive yet accessible study program on Italian wines. Interactive materials (quizzes flashcards…) are really stimulating. One-year access allows you to study everything thoroughly but at your own pace.
