Overall an excellent course that has given me a deep understanding of the wines of Central and Southern Italy and terrific preparation for my WSET Level 4 Diploma

Everything is presented a clear, concise format that is easy to follow! The printable maps make it very easy to follow along as you read! I also enjoyed the e learning modules! Now I am travelling Italy and I can choose my wines based on the knowledge I have learned!

IWS is very professional program focus in Italian wine regions and varieites, it gives people clearer look of how Italian wines that you might knew or you might didn't know at all, an excellent step to wide-open your eyes to Italian wines.

I really liked the interactiveness of the courses. I like the online course and quizzes. I liked the country only study, ie, Italy. I have been wanting to find a course provider for some time like this. WSG isn't only a book like WSET, it's both. I would say, makes it more fun to learn. I do think that a little proofreading for spelling errors and whatnots should be looked at. Other than that, I look forward to my next course!

Another fantastic course by the Wine Scholar Guild and West London Wine School. It's given me an in-depth knowledge of the whole of Italy and I've loved every minute.

The course is very detailed and covers a lot of regions and grapes. It is necessary to do homework but if you do then a pass is perfectly achievable.

There are many programs out there for Italian wine, each focusing on different areas. As one who studied mostly grape varieties, it was interesting for me to learn more about lakes, rivers and other topographical features that were of significant importance for this program. For those that HAVE taken other programs, the WSG is a great way to round out your learning in Italian Wine and look at things from a new and different perspective.

I found the study materials to be concise, well laid out, and easy to understand. It is such a great deal of information that was presented in a way that allowed me to step into each region and become fully versed in its culture and wine.

This course offers a clear and comprehensive study of the wines of Central and Southern Italy. There is an excellent blend of printed and online resources.

I love IWS courses and the new updated format of the manual and the ability to read the manual online too is a great change.

However, the e-learning modules could be but into smaller sections and have better quality and be updated to reflect the manual.

I have now done IWS and FWS and looking forward to doing SWS at some point.

As an Italian wine lover, it meant a lot for me to go in depth of all the regions in Italy and its history at the same time. The books are very well-written and can be repeatedly used as reference in the future, too.

I have finished the French and Spanish wine scholar programs and it is amazing how WSG keeps improving it's way of teaching. The Italian program is so good, interesting and enlightening.

I remember completing my degree in Viticulture and Enology in Italy and not understanding its wine regions, traditions, and styles. The Italian Wine Scholar program changed that for me, it gave me this depth of knowledge I was seeking and provided this bigger picture of the industry.

I love the wine scholar program. They’ve thought of everything. Written explanations, maps, side notes, pronunciation as well as quizzes. You learn about more than just grapes and wine. The history is fascinating.

After being in the wine industry for over a decade, I feel that the Italian Wine Scholar program enhanced my previous knowledge while also providing new information with an easy and logical way to grasp and retain for the future.
