Pol Roger

Pol Roger, a Champenois from Aÿ, founded his house in Épernay in 1849. Over the following half-century, until his death in 1899, he gradually built one of the most respected Champagne wine trading houses. He began exporting wines to England, establishing strong commercial ties with a market that remains one of the house’s most important today. Still strictly family-run, the house takes pride in an independence maintained for more than 175 years, making it one of the few Champagne houses to preserve such a legacy.
