Eric Rodez

From a long line of winegrowers, Éric Rodez — former mayor of Ambonnay — and his son Mickaël farm just over six hectares in this outstanding Grand Cru village of the Montagne de Reims. Known for the generosity and roundness of its Pinot Noirs, the village also produces deep Chardonnays whose finesse the Rodez family draws out remarkably well. They handle barrel vinification and blending with great skill. Carefully judged dosage highlights these Champagnes, which are both full and pure.
