Françoise Bedel et Fils

Françoise Bedel & Fils farms 8.85 hectares of vines aged between 30 and 60 years. The parcels lie on both sides of the Marne in Crouttes-sur-Marne, Nanteuil-sur-Marne, Charly-sur-Marne and Villiers-Saint-Denis. Fernand and Marie-Louise Bedel were the first generation, and Françoise took over part of the domaine in 1979. Because the plots sit on different subsoils, they can be blended by terroir to produce site-driven cuvées. The wines reflect a rigorous approach designed to highlight the qualities and distinct character of the land, the vines and the fruit, resulting in Champagnes of depth, energy and strong personality, often combining textural richness with a vivid sense of place.
