Jean-Marc Sélèque returned to the family domaine in 2008 after studying viticulture and oenology and gaining experience in several New World vineyards owned by Maison Chandon. Time spent in California’s Napa Valley and Australia’s Yarra Valley gave him strong technical skills and a constant focus on precision. It also showed him the limits of a purely technological vision of wine, where endless cellar adjustments aim to standardize taste and texture.
