The Fleury estate has been based in Courteron since 1895, in the heart of southern Champagne’s Côte des Bar. Its vineyards lie on clay-limestone slopes formed during the Kimmeridgian period by the early tributaries of the Seine, whose source is around 70 kilometers upstream near Saint-Seine-l’Abbaye. Biodynamics has become central to the family’s approach, giving deeper meaning to their long-standing commitment to winegrowing. Their work is guided by respect for the living environment of the vineyard and a continual effort to understand the balance of their terroir and pass it on. The estate totals 15 hectares, planted with 85% Pinot Noir, 10% Chardonnay and smaller amounts of Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris (replanted in 2010) and Pinot Meunier.
