Nowack

The story of Nowack goes back to 1795 and remains very much a family affair. Today Flavien works with his father at the estate in Vandières in the Vallée de la Marne. Across 3.6 hectares he grows mostly Meunier, followed by Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, with a thoughtful, respectful approach. When he returned in 2011, he focused on understanding his parcels and gradually refined their division by terroir. In the cellar he favors gentle vinification without additives and increasingly long aging before disgorgement. His wines stand out for their precision and elegance, and he’s regarded as one of the notable talents of his generation.
