After several years of experience working half the year in the New World, Marin Fumey now runs this sizeable (19ha) Montigny-les-Arsures estate, together with his parents. He has overseen conversion to organics, and an expansion of the cellars to allow more flexibility in working, as well as revamping the range to include some single vineyard selections. Topped-up whites are aged for a minimum of 18 months mainly in 500-liter barrels, whereas reds may be just in tank or in barrels or foudres. The wines remain fair value, characterful wines, and are well worth seeking out.
