Arcuri Sergio

Sergio Arcuri and his brother Francesco have run the family winery since 2009, bottling their own wine for the first time. Leaving behind a secure job in the coffee industry, Sergio chose to carry on his father's legacy, renovating the winery and adopting biotic viticulture. Today, he cultivates fewer than 4 hectares of vineyards, many of which were planted mid-20th century using the alberello (bush vine) system—well-suited to the area's arid, clay-rich soils.
In the cellar, wines are made naturally, fermented spontaneously in concrete tanks with no additives. Sergio's Gaglioppo wines express the variety's delicate color, soft tannins, and subtle red fruit and floral notes. He is a key figure in the Ciro' Revolution.
