A’ Vita

A’Vita—meaning “the vine”—is the project of Francesco Maria De Franco and Laura Violino. After two decades working in architecture between Florence and San Marino, Francesco returned to his native Cirò to embrace a life closer to nature and to revive his family's vineyards. His journey began with the 2008 vintage and a clear vision: to elevate Cirò, its wines, and especially its flagship grape, Gaglioppo.
Francesco has been a leading advocate for sustainable viticulture and the respectful treatment of the land, encouraging collaboration among local winemakers. He co-founded the Ciro' Revolution movement in 2010 alongside Sergio Arcuri and Cote di Franze, a group now composed of nine producers dedicated to honoring the integrity of Cirò’s wine tradition.
