Tenuta del Conte was founded in the 1960s by Francesco Parilla, who initially grew grapes for the local cooperative. Situated between the Ionian Sea and the Sila mountains, the estate enjoys a unique microclimate that promotes biodiversity. Today, Francesco’s daughter, Mariangela, leads the winery with a strong commitment to sustainable agriculture, avoiding herbicides and chemical treatments. She focuses on two varieties: Gaglioppo and Greco Bianco, which yield Mediterranean wines rich in authenticity. Mariangela is a visionary winemaker and the only female member of the Ciro' Revolution.
