Cantine Viola

Cantine Viola was established in 1999 by Luigi Viola, a retired elementary school teacher with a visionary passion for wine. Recognizing the cultural and historical importance of Moscato Passito—a traditional meditation wine on the verge of extinction—he set out to preserve and promote it. Based in Saracena, a town within the Pollino National Park, the winery focuses on reviving ancient winemaking techniques unique to Moscato di Saracena.
In addition to this rare dessert wine, Cantine Viola produces other labels such as RossoViola, made from Magliocco, and BiancoMargherita, crafted from Guarnaccia and Mantonico. The winery's mission blends tradition, innovation, and territorial pride.
