Cantine Terre di Balbia

The dream of Terre di Balbia began in 2001, when entrepreneurs Gianni Venica and Silvio Caputo set out to make a mark on the Calabrian wine scene. Gianni, from Friuli and owner of the Venica & Venica winery, brought decades of winemaking experience. Silvio, a native Calabrian, shared the same vision.
In 2014, Giuseppe Chiappetta, an engineer from Cosenza, acquired the winery along with his brother Nicola and his sons Marco and Luca. Since then, the family has guided the estate with a renewed focus on quality and regional expression.
