Feudo Montoni, located in the heart of Sicily near Cammarata (Agrigento province), is one of the island’s historic estates, with records of vine cultivation dating back to the 15th century. Today, under the guidance of Fabio Sireci, the winery has become a reference point for the revival and protection of native Sicilian grapes.
The vineyards, planted at 500–700 meters above sea level on clay-limestone soils, are cultivated organically and largely massal-selected from old vines. The focus is mainly on Perricone, Catarratto, Grillo and Nero d’Avola, with a strong emphasis on genetic preservation and biodiversity.
In the cellar, the approach is minimalist, featuring spontaneous fermentations, neutral containers, and restrained oak use, which aims to highlight purity, authenticity, and terroir-driven expression. Flagship wines include Vrucara (Nero d’Avola from pre-phylloxera vines), Catarratto del Masso, and Grillo della Timpa, each showcasing the estate’s commitment to elegance, longevity, and the deep-rooted identity of central Sicily.
